Summing it all up

New Culture of Learning: In 5313, Creating a Significant Learning Environment, we had a total of five assignments for the course. In the first assignment, New Culture of Learning, the directions given was to crate a response to A New Culture of Learning outline and the movement towards the building of significant environments. The purpose of this piece of writing was to create an argument and whow the problems will be addressed in the innovation plan created in EDLD 5305.
Learning Philosophy: The second assignment was the Learning Philosophy. I thoroughly enjoyed crafting this piece writing since I felt like it was the only way to present myself authentically. When I saw assignment, I thought about my teaching philosophy from a few years ago and how much had changed since then. My learning philosophy distinguishes my views on both and how much is connected.
Learning Environment/Situational Factors Outline + 3 Column Table: Even though I found myself to have a full writers block at the beginning of this assignment, everything clicked once I began typing my three-column table and answering the questions to align with my innovation plan. Reconsidering both the three column table and the UbD Design Template, I believe I prefer this template due to the amount of details incorporated.
UbD Design Template: The UbD Design Template was a form of backwards designs. I thought was different compared to assignment 4, but both correlated with the innovation plan in the form of backwards design when designing a course for the online environment or in-person.
Revisiting the Growth Mindset Plan: Revisiting the Growth Mindset plan was actually very reflective. I enjoyed answering the questions which showed a cohesive thought-provoking process--however, I felt as if it seemed too early to revisit and should be revisited at a later time in the program. Since this course was about learners and how one should build an environment around the learner, these questions were best suited to reflect upon the learner and their growth mindset.
