5305, Disruptive Innovation in Technology is a course where COVA really impacted my learning. The course can be described as preparing to lead your organization and embracing it through technological innovation. The leader must lead proactively and be the catalyst for change in their respective institution.

At the very beginning of 5305 we were given the task to come up with change we wanted to see in our organization that was disruptive. We first had to use a google form to answer questions about ourselves and what change we wanted to see, then the next step was our proposal letter. Around November, we were then assigned our Literature Review, then the last step was our implementation outline.

If I'm going to be completely transparent, I was lost at the beginning of this process, but with Dr. Johnson's help and seeing how 5302 is very collaborative with this course, it makes me view how everything intertwines within the ADL program at Lamar University.

As someone who is trying to grow continuously, I've noticed I do normal everyday tasks at work differently with technology. I believe this is where the disruptive innovative course learning comes into view and changed me as a learner.
